Dundas

A picturesque community at Hamilton’s northwesternmost edge, Dundas is a scenic neighbourhood on the outskirts of the city that still retains its charming feel. Nestled in a Niagara Escarpment valley, Dundas is a favourite for those who enjoy the outdoors and a small-town atmosphere, while being close to daily amenities like health centres and shops. Easily drivable and close to Highway 403 and the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway, Dundas is also great for commuters looking for a quiet place to settle in the big city.

The Dundas Driving Park is a favourite community hangout that features pavilions, playgrounds, baseball diamonds, and plenty of greenspace. Surrounded by some of the oldest and grandest homes in Dundas, the park is also a fun destination for checking out the area’s beautiful real estate.

Dundas is surrounded by natural landscapes as it’s situated at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment, so there are plenty of areas to enjoy the outdoors. People in Dundas

A peaceful escape from the hustle of the centre of the city, Dundas is a favourite place to settle for families with young kids (as it’s also home to great schools), and retirees. Most families who plant roots in Dundas stay for life, building multigenerational communities with close ties.

Dundas real estate

Dundas real estate is among the most expensive in Hamilton, but it’s still a more affordable option compared to living in nearby Toronto. Here you’ll find plenty of older homes, mid-century modern builds, and larger, typical family homes developed in the ‘80s ‘90s, and early 2000s. There are also a handful of townhomes, and apartment-style condominium buildings. As Dundas is situated in the escarpment valley, infill development seems to be gaining popularity within this community.
